I work on everyday life, on the moments that punctuate it (breakfast, the chore of laundry, preserves), and the objects that populate it. These objects interest me for their aesthetic aspect but also for their power of evocation. This daily life is tinged with concerns inherent to the female condition, too long associated with the domestic sphere.

Deconstructing, recomposing, fragmenting, assembling are verbs that are familiar to me (notions of fragment and whole). In linocut, I create several matrices, and it is their association that gives meaning to the print produced. In drypoint, a matrix can itself be deconstructed, and its different fragments then reassembled.

The notion of repetition is very present: repetition of daily tasks (laundry, preparing meals...), the cyclical aspect of intimate and domestic life (the weather, the canning season...); repetition of gestures: inking the matrix, placing it on the press, positioning the paper, activating the press; repetition of images, the multiple and the series (an image and its variations).

Words and text complement and guide the interpretation of an image. Texts give everyday life, with its monotonous aspect, a form of poetry.
