THIERRY RASINE

Enthusiastic, very creative and driven by a great passion for art, Thierry Rasine is a self-taught painter who enters this world of art where it is not easy to make a name for oneself.

Thierry draws his inspiration from poetry, the city, and icons. Affected by street billboards, the artist cuts out selected extracts that serve as the basis for his work. He creates his motifs without stencils, using acrylic, spray paint, and grease pencils.

Deconstruction, reconstruction, and the assembly of graphic and colourful compositions are the different phases of his creative process. The artist enriches his mediums with random traces of paint according to his emotions.

Since his beginnings, Thierry has been evolving towards a style halfway between Pop Art and Street Art. The techniques used by his favourite painters served as a trigger for his artistic expression: Bernard Buffet's lines (expressionist), Jackson Pollock's "dripping" - paint drips (abstract expressionist), Mimmo Rotella's posters (Italian visual artist), and Jean-Michel Basquiat's graffiti ("underground" painter).
