SHOES
ShuZ is a self-taught digital artist. He decided to combine his two passions: pictorial museum works and sneakers. His approach is to subtly use anachronism to rejuvenate the greatest masterpieces of classical art. He strives to copy the style of various classical painters to best integrate sneakers into paintings. He makes Napoleon and Louis XIV wear Jordans, but also enjoys embedding Nikes in Van Gogh's "The Siesta" or Converse in Vermeer's "The Milkmaid."
ShuZ: “Today, sneakers are a real social marker and are increasingly displayed on social media. Paintings of the past were for some monarchs the equivalent of their profile picture. Sneakers are now seen by some as true works of art.”
