Abstraction is born from repetition. By repeating the word "NoName" on the canvas, I draw random borders where colors come to nest, like a region filling with a population. The colors cross the borders, jostle, overflow, the layers are light or overlap until the outlines of the first borders are no longer clearly visible.

For small formats, I work directly on ready-made canvases. For large formats, I work on canvas that I cut to the desired dimensions, then once painted, I mount it on a frame. The choice of mediums is wide: aerosol, acrylic, inks, watercolor, gesso, and gouache. The basic tools are brushes, and I like to appropriate scrapers and spatulas that I make according to my needs. The layers are light or overlap until the initial outline is no longer visible. Gesso sometimes redraws new borders over the old ones. I work outdoors in a garden; the inking and pigment phase takes place in a workshop at garden level.
