SERGE GUARNIERI

The sculptor Serge Guarnieri wants to reveal in his work all the nobility, fluidity and generosity of this raw material, "rebar," by diverting it from its initial industrial purpose.

Equipped with a welding arc and a helmet, he welds, grinds, polishes, fuses, and transforms the material. In his work, Serge Guarnieri shares his metaphysical questioning. He observes the strange similarity of existing forms between the infinitely small and the infinitely large, between plant matter and animal matter. He asks himself: Can Art be an illuminator, a poetic link between science and consciousness? A tracker of the infinite, well-rooted in reality, the artist, in his alchemical work, aims to transcend matter without wishing to unravel the mysteries of creation. In thousands of bursts of light, he invites us to reconnect with our sensory capacities, to marvel at the unfathomable beauty of the infinite.

His work has been frequently rewarded in contemporary art exhibitions such as the Cercle des Artistes de Paris at the Parc Floral de Vincennes, and he was a laureate of the Christiane Peugeot competition. He participates in group exhibitions: Salon d'Automne in Paris, Sculpt'en Sologne, etc. As a guest of honor in many exhibitions, he also exhibits in galleries and cultural centers throughout France. A member of the Taylor Foundation, a medalist of Arts-Sciences-Lettres, and an associate of the Salon Violet, his sculptures are permanently exhibited in the Art Génération galleries in Paris, the Galerie Jad in Condom (32), and the Galerie Tôt ou Tard in Verdun.
