NAWEL AUBERT
Nawel is a painter who lives in the Paris region.
She always had a passion for drawing, but it was at 15, during a school trip to Florence, that painting entered her life. At 18, she enrolled in law school, but painting remained on her mind.
After work, she attended Parisian workshops to perfect her drawing and painting techniques. The artist finally decided to dedicate herself to painting and began her studies at an art school, the MILAN ART INSTITUTE, from which she graduated in June 2023.
She now devotes herself full-time to her activity as a painter in her personal studio. There, expressive works are born, sometimes soft, sometimes striking, but always engaging the viewer in a silent dialogue.
The artist paints using mixed media or exclusively in oil. She draws her inspiration from the emotions that run through her. Her favorite subject is the human figure because she is fascinated by this complex being. Her creative process unfolds in two stages: she orders then she deconstructs, instinctively. Color, for its part, is predominant in her work, it is narrative, it is profound, it is a vector of emotions. The artist likes to dialogue with her subject, in all intimacy, which is certainly why each work represents a being, a face, a body. Similarly, in this search for proximity, the shots are often close-up to fully engage the viewer in the work.
She is present on national and international scenes as she has had the opportunity to participate in several exhibitions in France and abroad. Her works, for their part, join private collections notably in France, Italy and the Netherlands.
“What I want is to create a space for dialogue between the work and the viewer, which will in turn provoke a kind of introspective meditation.”
