JACK JACQUOT

JACK JACQUOT

Jack Jacquot took the initiative to go to Belgium at the age of 15, to study and practice different artistic techniques at Saint-Luc Tournai. During these 4 years, he discovered art history, different manual and computer-based expression techniques, as well as graphic charter codes. He also learned about three-dimensional modeling and form study, he sculpted, molded, pressed, welded, assembled all forms of materials, and began a 3D modeling sketch

Back in Paris at the age of 19, he joined the LISAA School of Interior Architecture and Design. He immediately felt an instinctive preference for design and the study of form. At the same time, he began his first pictorial series called Vie comme Ja. He immediately stood out with his own unique style and attracted many enthusiasts. Some would say surrealism, but for the artist, it is hardly that, he paints what he imagines, the invisible to the naked eye, like a smell, a touch, a character or an emotion. Several exhibitions shared with other creators later, he was spotted by Mec Been Studio and found himself propelled into the heart of an exhibition at La Gaîté Lyrique where he performed a live pictorial performance.

Subsequently, obsessed with his growing creative desires, he produced his second pictorial series M[a.i]cro which he exhibited at the Maison des ensembles in Paris during a joint exhibition of visual artists. Tired of seeing that one often has to go through a whole host of intermediaries to create and promote such events, he decided to organize his first solo exhibition from start to finish in the Abbesses district of Paris. For fifteen days, Alexandre was both the artist and the gallery owner of his new exhibition La face du Monde.

Like a dream long desired and achieved, Alexandre left barely a month after his exhibition to fulfill another dream: to be inspired and enriched by the world during a long journey. From Australia to the Philippines, from the Philippines to Vietnam, from Vietnam to Thailand, Jack saw his journey cut short by the global emergence of the Covid-19 Virus.

Back in France, with images and encounters filling his heart, he began a new collection of portraits. His style became purer, more refined, and continued to grow. This time, he completely detached himself from the standard format and its background. Jack wanted to sculpt, to paint his faces and only his faces.

A striking series, a successful communication, the artist once again transformed into a Swiss army knife, taking full control of his event. On Rue Condorcet in Paris, the Regarde-nous exhibition generated buzz in the neighborhood with an overflowing opening and an effervescence of good cheer. Success and satisfaction for this young artist who once again managed to express what he had to convey, through his emotions, his creativity and his work. The series of paintings would be exhibited a month later at the Halles des Blancs Manteaux in the Marais.

Already on to the next, Jack, back in his studio, is already working on the next collection which will be unveiled in Paris at the beginning of 2024.
