HEATON RUDYARD

London is an artistic capital that attracts many artists, drawn by the avant-garde spirit that reigns there. It was in this spirit that Rudyard HEATON entered Goldsmiths College, from which he graduated in 1993. At that time, he immersed himself in a very conceptual artistic expression. Almost in opposition to this approach, he chose to spend six months in Japan to study traditional painting at Tamagawa University. 

Back in France, Rudyard HEATON expresses himself exclusively through hyperrealistic figuration. Rudyard HEATON is primarily known in the world of animated drawing, as he works as a set designer on various animated film projects. He thus engages in a form of expression paying particular attention to detail, to the meticulous representation of the things around us. Rudyard HEATON masters an impressive palette of techniques, whether pastel, oil paint, or acrylic. He also creates digital prints, which he then reworks with pencil. 

This artist's world is the banality of everyday life, all those things we pile up around us and which form the backdrop of our lives. Rudyard HEATON captures their presence on paper, he represents them in an ideal beauty that transcends them. Rudyard HEATON no longer paints things, he paints portraits of a tooth glass, a stairwell, or a children's garden.
