FRESHA D
Fresha-D is a French-Canadian artist born in 1992. Passionate about drawing since childhood, he found a major source of inspiration for his creations in the graffiti movement during his teenage years. Symbolized by the use of vibrant colors that clash to create the sublime, his style matured over time to achieve his current signature.
Chaos to create harmony – it is in this antagonism that his works seem to find their singularity. The brushstrokes appear spontaneous and the lines are strong, designed to reveal a soul rather than a face.
His portraits sculpt the figures who have shaped his life and childhood, and seem to capture an essence conveyed through the gaze. Emotions, varying with the subject of the work, thus reach the viewer like an inner world revealed through the canvas. In response to the disillusionment of our era, where the overproduction of selfies only highlights a growing loss of identity, his paintings appear as vectors of a new and urban humanism, at the crossroads of two worlds.
