AURELIE SARRAMON
Passionate about images from an early age, Aurélie Sarramon pursued directing and production studies at the EICAR Group in Paris. She wrote and directed several short films, and participated in the directing and production of feature films.
She moved to Toulouse in 1998, where she is now a professional photographer, notably collaborating with international agencies for the creation of book covers.
Aurélie Sarramon's work is visibly marked by the influence of surrealist photography. The image surprises with the incongruous juxtaposition of two realities. The viewer is unsettled by the superimposition of two contradictory images, but at the same time, the artist appeals to the imagination. Indeed, Aurélie Sarramon's photography carries a narrative element that evokes a child's dream.
The artist enjoys working on the aesthetics of her shots. This contributes to the creation of a fantasized universe, conducive to reverie.
Beyond surprise, Aurélie Sarramon's photographs guide the viewer towards dreams and imagination.
